GoDaddy Domain Registrar and Web Hosting Company Sold for 2.25 Billion

GoDaddy Group Inc. well-known domain registrar and web hosting company has finally been bought by Kohlberg Kravis Roberts, Silver Lake and Technology Crossover Ventures for a hefty 2.25 billion after putting itself on auction last September with asking price of 1 billion.
Bob Parsons GoDaddy CEO and Founder said:

We believe, together, we will take the company to the next level, especially when it comes to accelerating international growth.What these guys see is a company with a lot more potential internationally and more potential to make partnerships and acquisitions.”
The popular US based web hosting giant which founded on 1997 and headquarters located in Scottsdale, Arizona is also rank 1st place as ICANN accredited registrar with 39,989,984 domains along with 32% of global market share beating its closest competitor by nearly fourfold according to webhosting.info reports end June 2011.
